Overview
The Kaghan Valley is one of Pakistan’s most accessible mountain escapes. This four-day journey takes you through pine forests, beside glacial rivers, and to the legendary Saif-ul-Muluk Lake — a turquoise gem set at 3,200 metres.
Itinerary
Day 1 — Islamabad to Naran
Drive through Abbottabad and Balakot into the Kaghan Valley. Scenic stops along the Kunhar River. Overnight in Naran.
Day 2 — Saif-ul-Muluk Lake
Jeep trek to Saif-ul-Muluk Lake. Walk around the lake, photography, and picnic. Return to Naran by late afternoon.
Day 3 — Shogran & Siri Paye
Drive to Shogran. Optional trek to Siri Paye meadow (3 hours) for panoramic views of the valley. Overnight in Shogran.
Day 4 — Return to Islamabad
Morning walk through Shogran pine forest. Depart after breakfast, arriving Islamabad by late afternoon.
