Overview
Hunza Valley is Pakistan’s crown jewel — a place of dramatic peaks, terraced fields, and a culture shaped by centuries of trade along the Silk Road. This six-day journey takes you from Islamabad to the heart of the Karakoram, with stops at ancient forts, alpine lakes, and villages where hospitality is a way of life.
Itinerary
Day 1 — Islamabad to Chilas
Drive along the Karakoram Highway through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Overnight in Chilas.
Day 2 — Chilas to Karimabad
Continue north along the Indus River. Afternoon arrival in Karimabad, Hunza. Walk through the old village and visit Baltit Fort.
Day 3 — Karimabad & Altit
Morning visit to Altit Fort (900 years old). Afternoon guided walk through terraced fields and orchards. Evening at a local homestay with traditional music.
Day 4 — Eagle's Nest & Passu
Sunrise at Eagle's Nest viewpoint (panorama of Rakaposhi, Diran, Ultar). Drive to Passu — walk the Passu Glacier snout and Hussaini Suspension Bridge.
Day 5 — Attabad Lake & Return
Morning at Attabad Lake — boating and lakeside walk. Begin return drive, overnight in Besham.
Day 6 — Return to Islamabad
Continue drive to Islamabad, arriving by late afternoon.
